LeGrand Pierre Improvement Projects
LeGrand Pierre Pathway
Purpose / Summary
Construct a 10ft-wide asphalt separated (from the roadway) pathway between 5th Street and Booshway Street to connect the City's pathway network to the Teton Middle School and Driggs Elementary School, with an extension to the Shoshoni Plains subdivision.
Funding
The City of Driggs has been awarded a Transportation Alternatives Program grant to design and construct the LeGrand Pierre Pathway extension as well as the SH33 Pathway Extension. The grant agreement requires a 7.34% local match, which is being provided from the City's Resort Tax (local-option sales tax) Fund.

Schedule
The City of Driggs has awarded a contract to Avail Construction for the completion of the pathway during the summer of 2022.
LeGrand Pierre Roadway
Purpose / Summary
Improve LeGrand Pierre to a standard paved City collector road standard, with the inclusion of a center turn lane serving the schools and adjacent property.
Funding
The current funding scenario includes the following sources:
- Local Improvement District 2022-1: $230,000 - assessed to non-public property owners adjacent to LeGrand Pierre Ave based on land area
- City of Driggs (Impact Fees, Resort Tax, Grant): $230,000 plus design engineering and construction engineering
- Teton School District 401: $260,000
Design

Schedule
The City expects to complete the design in the fall of 2022, advertise for construction bids in the winter of 2022/2023, and construct the improvements in the summer of 2023.
