Please complete and return this form to the City of Driggs, P.O. Box 48, Driggs, ID 83422.

I own or represent an entity that owns a short-term rental property in the City of Driggs and hereby verify that the short-term rental complies with the following standards (check all that apply):*

All sleeping areas in a short-term rental, including, when applicable, basements, living rooms, and family rooms, shall be equipped with functioning smoke alarms.The short-term rental shall be equipped with a functioning fire extinguisher and a functioning carbon monoxide detector on each floor.Removable escape ladders shall be available in all sleeping areas with a window that are located above the ground floor.Maximum occupancy limits for short-term rentals shall not exceed those non-transient residential limits as contained in the international building codes as adopted by the Idaho Building Code Board.An easily accessible informational handout shall be available to tenants describing the location of exits, the location of fire extinguishers, and the location of any supplied first aid kits, and a phone number to contact the owner or manager of the short-term rental in case of an emergency.No recreational vehicle, travel trailer, tent or other temporary shelter shall be used as a short-term rental. Only buildings meeting safety and inspection requirements under building codes recognized by the city may be used.
