The Idaho Transportation Department is inviting public comment on the Idaho Transportation Investment Program (ITIP) for 2023-2029 now through July 31, 2022.Â
The ITIP project determines which transportation projects our state and federal funding support over the next seven years, including roads, bridges, transit, bike & pedestrian, and aviation.Â
There are several local projects in the ITIP that we encourage YOU to comment on:
Teton County South Highway 33 Intersection Improvements: left and right turn lane improvements at the following intersections:
- LeGrand Pierre Ave (schools access)
- 2000S
- 4500S
- 6000S
- 7000S
- 8000S
- Cedron Rd
These projects are scheduled for 2024-2025, but funding is in question, so commenting specifically about the support of these projects will encourage ITD to put them back in the program.
Driggs Wallace Ave Sidewalks: a Transportation Alternatives Grant project to improve sidewalks and streetscape on Wallace Ave (to match Depot St);
Teton County Hwy 33 Multi-Modal Pathway: a separated asphalt pathway continuing north from Driggs to 2500N
Note: the Baseline Road intersection in Victor has secured funding through the BUILD grant program and is not on the ITIP project.Â
Please Review the ITIP webpage for more information, an interactive map of all projects, and all modes of submitting your comments by July 31, 2022. Make your opinion count by commenting today!
