Pursuant to established procedure, Idaho Statutes, and the Emergency Declarations issued by the Mayor of Driggs and Governor of Idaho, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Driggs City Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing at Driggs City Hall, with the opportunity to listen via remote broadcasting, on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 6:30pm. Information on how to join the webinar will be posted prior to the meeting on the Planning & Zoning Commission's Meeting Information Page as well as at City Hall. The hearing items are described below.
ZC22-3: Public Hearing for Zone Change 22-3:
The purpose of this hearing is to consider a Zoning Map Amendment for the 1.27-acre Parcel RPA04900050010, located at the corner of Valley Centre Drive and Moraine Court in the Valley Centre II Subdivision, from Commercial Corridor (CC) to Residential Mixed Use (RX).
Review Criteria & Process:
Zone Map Amendments are reviewed based on the criteria found in Article 14.9 of the Driggs Land Development Code. The Driggs Planning & Zoning Commission will review the project and make a recommendation to Driggs City Council. City Council will make a final decision on the application.Â
SUB22-2: Public Hearing for Short Plat Subdivision 22-2:
The purpose of this hearing is to consider a SHORT PLAT SUBDIVISION for the property located at 420 N. Main St., RPA00000264835. The proposed division would split this parcel into two lots. The area is CC Commercial Corridor.
Review Criteria & Process:
Driggs Planning & Zoning Commission will evaluate the entire project based on conformance with the Driggs Land Development Code and the Driggs Comprehensive Plan.  Following Driggs Planning & Zoning Commission’s recommendation, the Driggs City Council shall hold a public meeting and make a final decision on the project. Short Plat Subdivisions can be approved and recorded if Council finds that the proposal conforms to the Land Development Code.
Information pertinent to these applications is available for review at Driggs City Hall and on the City’s website Projects Page. Staff reports will be posted prior to the hearing.
Written comments received by 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022, by mail at Driggs City Hall P.O. Box 48, Driggs, Idaho 83422, by fax to 208-354-8522, emailed to publichearingcomments@driggsidaho.org, by voicemail by calling 208-354-2362 ext. 1007, or submitted through the online form on the Public Hearing Page will be included in the staff report. Comments received after March 1st and before the start of the meeting can be read into the record during the meeting. Comments will also be heard during the public hearing by those attending the meeting in person. There will be no opportunity for remote commenting during this meeting.
This public hearing will be held at Driggs City Hall and broadcast via telecommunication devices, in compliance with Open Meeting Law, as per state statute.
