PA24-6 Plat Amendment

Super 8 - Hatch Subdivision Lots 5 & 6

SUMMARY: The Preliminary Plat Application proposes to vacate 2 existing lots located at 1361 N Hwy 33, in which one hotel building stands encompassing both lots in the center of the property, and 3 new lots be dedicated in their place.

REVIEW PROCESS: This proposal constitutes a Significant Plat Amendment per §14.13.5 of the Driggs Land Development Code (LDC) because it is creating 1 additional lot and vacating the right-of-way Highway access. The “Full Plat” subdivision process is followed for this type of Plat Amendment because the Hatch Subdivision was originally created through the full plat process, therefore review and approval of a Concept, Preliminary plat and a Final plat are needed. Public improvements will be required to install new access points to the lots so separate reviews and decisions will be required for each of these 3 steps. A public hearing with the Planning & Zoning Commission (PZC) is scheduled for February 12, 2025 and a recommendation for City Council is requested at this meeting. City Council will then hold a public hearing and make a decision on the Preliminary Plat.
