Teton Creek Restoration
Teton Creek Restoration & Flood Hazard Mitigation Project
The City of Driggs has been awarded Phase I (Design & Permitting) funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for a flood hazard mitigation project along Teton Creek. The full project, estimated at $2.8 million, is expected to receive $2.52 million (90% of cost) in federal grant funding through the Idaho Office of Emergency Management to restore nearly 1.5 miles of streambanks and floodplains from Cemetery Road to the Highway 33 Bridge, including through the Creekside Meadows subdivision.
The 10% project match is being funded through a combination of in-kind staff hours; cash from Friends of the Teton River, Flood Control District, City of Driggs and Creekside Meadows HOA; and material donations.
Below are additional details on the project. Questions may be directed to either Mike Lien, Project Coordinator contracted by the City at 208 354-3871 / Mike@TetonWater.org or Doug Self, Community Development Director, at 208-354-2362 ext. 2111 / DSelf@DriggsIdaho.org .
