ZC24-7 Zone Change

Victor Mountain Retreat

SUMMARY: The applicant is requesting a rezone from RM-2 to CC for a 7.24-acre parcel located on SH 33, north of Tributary Drive and across from Rodeo Drive. The owner is planning to develop this vacant parcel by pursuing a zone change, and Design Review. A subdivision proposal is mentioned in the narrative, but the applicant stated in further email with staff that they would not be pursuing that at this time. If the zone change and design review are approved, the property would contain a 69-room hotel and potentially four additional commercial pads, all with onsite parking. The project would also include the planned extension of Rodeo Drive as a public street.

REVIEW PROCESS: The applicant will host a neighborhood meeting on January 9, 2025 from 4 PM-6 PM at Driggs City Hall. (Materials presented at the neighborhood meeting can be viewed here ) The Applicant and City Staff will be present to answer questions and discuss the proposal with the public. Following the neighborhood meeting, the zone change application will advance to the Planning & Zoning Commission for review and public comment at a noticed public hearing, and then on to City Council for a final decision.
