Public Hearing for Two Ballot Initiatives 12/6/22

According to established procedure and Idaho Statutes NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Driggs City Council will hold a public hearing at 60 S. Main St. in Driggs City Hall and virtually via Zoom Webinar on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022, at 6:00 pm to consider adoption of the two ballot initiatives listed below. There will be an opportunity for public comment. Information on accessing the meeting and the agenda is available on the City Council Meeting Information Page and at City Hall. The hearing items are as follows:

Ballot Initiatives:

1)     By short title: “A voter initiative to enact a Driggs city ordinance to limit the GVWR weight of aircraft allowed to take off or land on the Driggs-Reed Memorial Airport Runway to 25,000 pounds”

2)     By short title: “A voter initiative to enact a Driggs city ordinance to limit the length of the Driggs-Reed Memorial Airport runway to 4,500 feet by shortening the runway from the Southwest”

How to Review, Access, & Submit Comment

Review criteria, processes, and documents pertaining to these applications are available on the corresponding website address listed above. A staff report will be available one week prior to the meeting date.  Zoom instructions and access links are available on the City Council Meeting Information Page .

Instructions and an online form for submitting public hearing comments are available on the Public Hearing & Comment Page .  Comments received by 5 p.m. Thursday, December 1st, 2022 will be included in the staff report. Comments received after December 1st and before the start of the meeting will be read into the record during the meeting. Those attending the meeting in person can comment during the corresponding agenda item. Remote commenting during this meeting is not available.
