Online Payments for Non-Property Sales Tax

The City of Driggs accepts online reporting and payments for Non Property Sales Tax through XPress Bill Pay. All payments are due the 20th of the following month and must be submitted regardless of if taxes were collected.

Voters in the City of Driggs precinct approved the increase of the Non-Property Sales Tax Ordinance on May 17, 2022 to take effect on October 1, 2022.  These changes directly affect the tax rate on short-term lodging, which includes short-term rentals, hotel-motel rooms, tourist homes, vacation rentals, and other sleeping accommodations that are 30 days or less.

Beginning October 1, 2022, the Non-Property Sales Tax rate for these types of uses will increase from 3% to 6%.  All other tax tiers will remain the same. Property owners and managers of these property types need to make changes in these bookings and tax submissions to the City of Driggs beginning October 1, 2022.

6% Room Occupancy Charge - Short-term rentals, hotel-motel rooms, condominium units, tourist homes, vacation rentals, and other sleeping accommodations.

2% Liquor By-the-drink
By-the-drink liquor, beer, and wine for consumption on-premises or at any event or activity in the City of Driggs.

1% Prepared Foods
Furnishing, preparing or serving food, meals, drinks, or non-depreciable goods and services directly consumed.

0.5% Retail Sales
All sales are subject to taxation under the Idaho State Sales Tax Act, including by not limited to; retail sales, admission fees to events, rental or leasing of tangible items, etc.
