Short Term Rentals
Nightly rentals of a private residence/room (ex. Airbnb, VRBO)
All short term rentals within the city limits are required by law to obtain a permit. Please ensure your short term rental property is located within the city limits before proceeding with a Short Term Rental Permit.
If you are renting your property or a portion thereof for a period less than 30 days in exchange for compensation, you must obtain a Short Term Rental Permit  and ensure that state sales tax (6%), state lodging tax (2%) and Driggs lodging tax (6%) are all collected and submitted to the proper entities.
Short Term Rentals are required to:
- Register with the City of Driggs
- Ensure or pay the Non-property Sales Tax for lodging (6%) to the City of Driggs
- Submit an Annual Report including the number of stays and the tax collected and by which entity collected the tax (ie. Airbnb, VRBO, property manager, self)
- All properties must have garbage service
- All properties must have a local representative within 20 miles of the city.
- All short term rentals may be inspected for building safety.
- All short term rentals must have a valid STR Permit posted on site.

Rental permits are approved for a year and renewed by March 1 of each year. New short term rental permit applications and renewal applications can be found below. Please choose the online form to pay your permit or renewal fee with a credit card or ACH transaction. Choose the pdf form to print and submit the form with a check or cash.
