The Driggs Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearings and meetings at 60 S. Main St. in Driggs City Hall and virtually via Zoom on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 6:00 pm. There will be opportunity for the public to comment on public hearing items. Information on accessing the meeting and the full meeting agenda is available at DriggsIdaho.org and at City Hall. The public hearing items are as follows:
Public Hearing: Land Development Code Amendments for Density Bonus Provisions
The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider an ordinance amending the Land Development Code to create a new article under Chapter 14—Driggs Qualified Workforce Housing Incentive Program. The program offers potential incentives such as density bonuses, increased height/lot coverage, and impact fee waivers for developments that provide deed-restricted workforce housing. The proposed amendments set standards for affordability, unit mix, quality, and timing; allow payment-in-lieu options, and update Section 15.10.4 (Annexation) and previous articles within Chapter 14 that refer to the existing density bonus provisions accordingly. The Planning & Zoning Commission will consider making a recommendation to City Council, which will consider the proposed Ordinance during a future public hearing and make a final decision. Instructions for submitting a public hearing comment are available online at driggsidaho.org/public-hearing . Comments received by 5 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2025 will be included in the corresponding staff reports. Verbal comments can also be presented during the public hearing, by individuals attending in person and via Zoom. Verbal public comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker. The applicant's testimony is limited to 15 minutes. The City is not responsible for technical difficulties.
