The Driggs Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearings at 60 S. Main St. in Driggs City Hall and virtually via Zoom on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 6:00 pm. There will be opportunity for the public to comment on public hearing items. Information on accessing the meeting and the full meeting agenda is available at DriggsIdaho.org and at City Hall. The public hearing items are as follows:
Public Hearing SUB25-1: West View Business Park—Short Plat Subdivision
The Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a Short Plat Subdivision application submitted by Harmony Design & Engineering on behalf of West View Business Park, LLC/Owen Moulton. The application is seeking a short plat subdivision to divide the 1.15-acre parcel located 275 Railroad Way (RP33333333333I) resulting in 3 parcels-- 0.386-acres, 0.384-acres and 0.384-acres. The parcel is currently accessed via Railroad Way. The proposed parcels would gain additional access via Front St. The three resulting parcels will fall within the Airport Protection Overlay. Public Hearing AX24-3: Live Oak Springs—Annexation
The Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider an annexation application submitted by Sunrise Engineering on behalf of Live Oak Springs, LLC. The Live Oak Springs application is an annexation proposal with a general site development plan proposing a 154.62-acre residential subdivision on two parcels (RP05N45E248000 and RP05N46E195250) located in the Driggs Area of Impact just southeast of the Driggs Airport. The proposed development includes 207 lots, consisting of 34 townhome lots, 97 detached house lots, and 76 upsized detached family lots, with 7.5 total acres of park space.
The subject property is surrounded by the Shoshoni Plains and Ski Hill Ranch Subdivisions on the southern boundary, Targhee Ranches Subdivision on the east boundary, and the Sweetwater Subdivision on the north boundary. The west boundary is ad-jacent to the city limits for the City of Driggs and is zoned Industrial Flex (IX) and Light Industrial (IL).
The current zoning designation for the subject property at the time of application was ADR – 0.5. The applicant is requesting an RS-7: Single-Family & Two-Family zone district if approved for annexation. Instructions for submitting a public hearing comment are available online at driggsidaho.org/public-hearing. Comments received by 5 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 will be included in the staff report. Verbal comments can also be presented during the public hearing, by individuals attending in person and via Zoom. Verbal public comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker. The applicant's testimony is limited to 15 minutes. The City is not responsible for technical difficulties.
